MAU PROGRAMS

INTRODUCTORY LESSONS

Our certified instructors take the time with all new students to begin learning in a comfortable environment through one-on-one or small group classes. This allows both new students and instructors to evaluate and determine their ability, leading to the best program and group class recommendations for successful progress throughout the MAU Somers curriculum and beyond.

MINI DRAGONS

This program is engineered solely for 4 year olds. We have created a 30 minute session once a week in which classes are taught at a gentle and gradual pace focusing on attention span and the ability to follow directions. At the same time, we create a high energy class which lays the foundation of self control and self discipline.

LITTLE DRAGONS

This program is for kindergarteners-first graders. it builds upon the foundation of our Mini Dragons program and is full of high energy class. These classes are 45 minute sessions.

JUNIORS

This is our largest program and starts children from 2nd grade. This program stresses our structured Tae Kwon Do curriculum and emphasizes life values, self confidence and physical agility.

TEENS/ADULTS

This program uses our structured Tae Kwon Do curriculum to help strengthen your mind and body, increases agility and flexibility, and learn self defense tactics. It also helps increase your physical fitness and is a great way to relieve stress.

WOMEN'S CLASS

This program is designed for teen and adult woman to experience Tae Kwon Do classes in a woman only environment. This program teaches the Tae Kwon Do curriculum as well as focuses on improving overall physical fitness. 

SPARRING CLASS

This invite only program focuses on developing skills when facing an opponent. It helps to reinforce techniques learned during other classes, and improves your sense of timing. This program helps develop sportsmanship, and improves confidence.

At MAU we believe self esteem is not given, but it is built.
